Scope and contact
This policy describes the rebuilt Affordable Degree Guide website. For privacy questions, contact [email protected]. Official school links lead to independently operated websites with their own policies.
Comparison inputs
The comparison tool calculates scenarios in your browser. This implementation does not submit your selected state or assumed transfer credits to an application server or Google Analytics. We do not offer accounts or request FAFSA records. Do not put sensitive personal or financial information in a correction email.
Analytics
On affordabledegreeguide.org, we use Google Analytics to understand how the guides are used. Preview deployments and local development do not send production analytics events.
The site sends page views and limited comparison-use or outbound-program-click events. Our event payloads omit comparison input values and URL query strings. Google may also process browser, device and network information through its service; see Google’s information for visitors to sites using its services.
Google Analytics may use cookies. You can block them or Google’s scripts in your browser settings or with a content blocker, or opt out with Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on. Opting out does not erase information already processed.
Hosting and correspondence
Cloudflare serves the website and may process request information to deliver and protect it. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Hosting request processing occurs separately from our Google Analytics.
Emails you send are handled through our mailbox service and used to respond or investigate the issue. Do not email documents containing sensitive student information. We do not sell comparison inputs or use them to submit college applications.
Updates
We update this policy when the implementation or services change. The date shown on this page records this policy review; it is not a guarantee about a third party’s current practices.
